Last period of the day, my grade 3 student who ALWAYS forgets/loses his things, exclaims to me, “Miss, I think I forgot something today! Hmm what is it?”
Me: “Tsk. OH boy, I hope you figure it out!”
Him: “Ohya! It’s THIS!” *BIG HUG* “I forgot to give you a hug this morning!”

Living in Egypt has certainly been one of the profound experiences I’ve had thus far. In fact, I think it has trumped Bangkok, Thailand.
To live in Cairo, Egypt, one has to be patient, brush off all the frustrations, and learn to appreciate all the things you think would be a nuisance. I’ve come to realise that a lot of the things that would have easily been something to be angry at are now things to smile at.
